Meet our professional tours guide/driver in Arusha town, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, collect your picnic lunch and after which we travel to the Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch we head into the Lake Manyara National Park. This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.
Pick up from the your hotel start drive to Tarangire National Park for game view. Tarangire National Park covers an area of 1360 sq km (525 sq miles) with scattered Baobab trees, alternating with open acacia woodland which caters for wildlife food, open bush plains, swamps and rivers like river Tarangire. Wildlife like Elephants, Zebra, Giraffe, Dik Dik and Ostrich and different species of birds can be seen; don’t forget your lunch boxes.
After leisure breakfast, with picnic lunch drive past the great rift valley escarpment and through the wheat and coffee farms towards Ngorongoro conservation area, after processing all the permits proceed to Serengeti National Park where you will have chance stop for a short visit of Olduvai gorge if you like (optional tour), Picnic lunch will be provided at Naabi hill gate.
After early breakfast drive down to the Ngorongoro crater, where you will spend full day exploring Ngorongoro crater which is a World Heritage Site and home to nearly 25,000 animals. Giving you a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo, plus countless other African mammal species. You will witness the magnificent array of habitats, each with its own unique wildlife and flora. You will take time out to stretch your legs and enjoy your picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok Springs watching the hippos jostle for position in the water. After lunch you will proceed with game viewing leaving the crater floor in the late afternoon.
Breakfast at leisure then drive to Arusha or for a short game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. Depart with picnic lunch from your lodge, head into the Lake Manyara National Park.
